BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
CMJ Engineering has provided geotechnical and materials testing services on city projects for many years with quality service. CMJ has provided an estimate for the cost of these services during construction of the new central fire station based on the construction drawings and specifications. The services will include testing of the earthwork, drilled piers, cast-in-place concrete, masonry, and structural steel to ensure compliance with the specifications. This is not a lump sum proposal but an estimate. We will only be billed for actual services performed. The agreement has been reviewed and modified by the city attorney's office.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The cost estimate for these engineering services is $97,069.98. Funds were included in the project budget which is being funded from the 2020 CO bonds.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of the agreement.
