Action regarding Approval of Funds for Sister City Delegation Visit
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
As part of the Train & Grain Festival, our Sister City Banjul’s Mayor Rohey Lowe and some of the Banjul City Council will be invited to Saginaw for a one week stay. We intend to have a feature at the Train & Grain Festival that showcases Gambian culture, music, and food.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The estimated financial impact will be $15,000 which will pay for airfare and lodging for a delegation to be in Saginaw from October 14-October 21. The funds will come from hotel occupancy taxes.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval. |
