BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
On March 20, 2021 (Resolution 2021-10), City Council created a Public Improvement District (PID) for the Beltmill development located at the north end of Saginaw. On April 20, 2021 (Ordinance No. 2021-10), 2021 City Council approved a Planned Development for the Beltmill development located at the north end of Saginaw.
During the review process for the The Grand at Saginaw, a multi-family development located in Beltmill the determination was made that water flow rate and pressure required for fire protection on multi-story buildings was marginal. The most efficient way to meet the required demand is to install a booster pump station.
The pump station will benefit the entire Beltmill development where multi-story structures are likely.
KHA has developed the scope and provided an IPO for consideration.
