SUBJECT:

Action Regarding Purchase of Festive Trumpet with Stars and Happy Holiday Animated LED Decoration Christmas Light Display

BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:

On August 23, 2021, the Recreation and Parks Advisory Board (Park Board) held special called meeting. The agenda included an item to discuss the selection and recommendation for the purchase of Christmas decorations to be used to supplement and enhance the City of Saginaw’s annual Christmas light displays.

On August 9, 2021, the City’s Beautification Committee and Park Board held a joint workshop to review options for Christmas light displays. The Beautification Committee committed up to $30,000 in matching funds toward the purchase of the Christmas light displays. The board considered three choices with the top choice by both the Beautification Committee and Park Board was the 64’Wx47’H Festive Trumpet with Stars and Happy Holiday Animated LED Decoration (Decoration) pending costs.

The cost was secured from Arnett Marketing, LLC which is a member of Buy Board.
