SUBJECT:
Action regarding Purchase of One 2022 Chevrolet Colorado Pickup Truck for the Inspection Department--Rick Trice, P.E., Director of Public Works
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
This item is for approval of the purchase of a 2022 Chevrolet Colorado Pickup Truck for the Inspection Department in the amount of $25,280.50 from Five Star Chevrolet in Carrollton. Funds for this vehicle are budgeted in the Inspections/Code Enforcement Department Budget in the amount of $30,000. Staff researched vehicles through BuyBoard Cooperative Purchasing and found their price approximately $7,000 higher with no vehicles currently available.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The financial impact will be $25,280.50. Funds in the amount of $30,000 are budgeted in the Inspections/Code Enforcement Budget, Account 01-7000-10-00, Capital Outlay/Special Request for the purchase of a vehicle.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of the purchase of one 2022 Chevrolet Colorado Pickup from Five Star Chevrolet in Carrollton, in the amount of $25,280.50. |
