Action regarding Annual Contract Approval/Renewal with Tarrant County Emergency Services District #1
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
The contract is for our fire department to provide fire, rescue and EMS First Responder services to a designated portion of unincorporated Tarrant County. The contract mirrors the previous year’s contract with exception to the payment amount. Payment to us for services rendered will increase from $97,020 to $102,000, a $4980 (just over 5%) increase.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
$102,000 payment to the City of Saginaw in addition to a $25,000 equipment grant awarded to the fire department which will be utilized to purchase replacement fire hose and firefighting nozzles at the end of their useful life cycle.
RECOMMENDATION:
Approval of the contract as presented. A copy of the contract agreement is attached with exhibits. Also attached is an explanatory email addressed to City Manager Reaume. |
