The Library Board consists of seven (7) members.  Members serve a three year term that is concurrent with the Mayor's term.  Earlier this year Member  Frances Patty resigned from her position on the Library Board.  In January, Ms. Tricia Barbarick submitted an application to serve on the Library Board.  Ms. Barbarick is a long time library user and active in library programs. She has also attended several Library Board Meetings.  A copy of her application is attached. At their February 8th Meeting, the Library Board voted unanimously to recommend the City Council appoint Ms. Barbarick to the Library Board.  Library Director Ritchie has also recommended Ms. Barbarick to fill the vacant position.

Note:  This appointment was placed on the agenda now since the appointments/reappointments to the Library Board won't come up until 2024. Board appointments/reappointments information and recommendations will be presented by the Council Boards/Commissions Sub Committee in the coming months.
