SUBJECT:
Action regarding Authorization of use of Parks Donation Funds for the 2022 4th of July Celebration.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
For the last several years the Park Advisory Board has hosted the fireworks display to celebrate Independence Day. This year, the Parks Advisory Board recommended staff research both a parade and a celebration portion to complement the fireworks display. After the Parks Advisory Board decided to no longer plan a parade, city staff researched vendors to potentially use for the 2022 4th of July Celebration.
The Parks Advisory Board voted to recommend a budget not to exceed $8,500 to use towards music and activities for residents and visitors.
Funding for the 4th of July Celebration is paid through the Parks Donation Fund.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The financial impact is $8,500. Funds are available in the Parks Donation Fund.
RECOMMENDATION:
The Parks Advisory Board recommended to the City Council to authorize the use of funds from the Parks Donations Fund for the 2022 4th of July Celebration not to exceed $8,500. |
