Consideration and Action regarding Resolution No. 2019-15, Opposing HB 2439 relating to certain regulations adopted by governmental entities for the building products, materials, or methods used in the construction or renovation of residential or commercial buildings
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
Resolution No. 2019-15 urges Governor Abbott to veto House Bill 2439. The bill would limit Cities' ability to regulate the construction of housing and commercial buildings. The Tarrant County Mayors' Council has passed a similar resolution and is requesting all cities to do the same.
