BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
The City has received a request from the developer of the multi-family developer for proposed Lots 4 and 5, Block 1 in The Square to abandon an existing forty-foot wide “Public Utility Easement” located along the south property line of the property. The City has no existing public facilities located in the easement. The developer has produced letters from affected utility companies consenting to the release.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council authorize the execution of the necessary “Release and Abandonment of a Public Utility Easement” instrument and its filing in the Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas.
