SUBJECT:
Consideration and Action regarding Ordinance No. 2022-24, Amending Section 2-163 of the Saginaw City Code, which establishes a Capital Improvements Advisory Committee and provides for the purposes, organization, and membership of the Committee

BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:

On June 1, 2021, the Council approved three of its members to serve on a subcommittee for the purpose of reviewing 2021 boards applicants. A need was identified by this subcommittee to update the application form, review each board's purpose, objectives and goals as well as to standardize all the boards/committees within the City of Saginaw to improve communication and efficiency and compliance with our ordinances. 

 

Revisions to Ordinance 2020-23 are being presented for consideration for adoption. The modifications include:

- end of term changed to June 30 to coincide with other committee appointments

-  added that CIAC will follow meeting requirements of P&Z per City Code, Appendix A, Article 2



FINANCIAL IMPACT:
No financial impact.

RECOMMENDATION:
Councilmembers Lawson and Bighorse recommend approval of the revisions to City Code.
