SUBJECT:
MOU for temporary dispatch services being provided to the City of Blue mound while they work out their contract with Sansom Park PD
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
The City of Blue Mound is unable to provide basic dispatch services to their citizens due to the loss of all but one of their qualified dispatchers. This MOU will allow Saginaw PD to provide those services while the City of Blue Mound completes contract negotiations with Sansom Park PD. This MOU is for a period of three months, with the ability to extend for additional three month terms based on approval by both Saginaw and Blue Mound.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The MOU outlines a fee to be paid by the City of Blue Mound to the City of Saginaw while temporary dispatches are being provided. The fee is roughly $1456/wk or $5825/mo.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends the Saginaw City Council approve this MOU. |
