SUBJECT:
Revised SRO contract for period Oct 1st-December 31st.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
The EMS-ISD has started their own Police Department. The will be assuming the duties of SRO's previously contracted through the Saginaw Police Department. This revised SRO contract provides for reimbursement of costs associated with our officers working the period between October 1st and December 31st.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The EMS-ISD will be reimbursing the cost of our SRO's for the first three months of the fiscal year (Oct-Dec). This contract accounts for the full cost of our officers serving as SRO's since the summer time months are coming into play. This is different than past contracts that assumed a 50% reimbursement of our costs.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends that City Council approve the new SRO Contract |
