Action regarding the purchase of the SCADA System Upgrade for the City's Water System Controls
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
This item is for the upgrade to our SCADA control system that operates the City's Water System. It has been ten years since our last upgrade was done. This upgrade will be provided by Wheco Electric & Controls. They are the sole source for this equipment and have been the provider for our system and all past upgrades (over a period of twenty plus years). This upgrade was approved in the 2022-2023 Water & Wastewater Budget.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The financial impact will be $69,725. Funds for this upgrade are budgeted in the Capital Outlay/Special Request Account, 05-7000-50-00.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of the purchase of the SCADA System Upgrade from Wheco Electric & Controls. |
