Consideration and Action Regarding a Request For Approval to Amend the 2016 Comprehensive Plan from Office Professional (OP) to Neighborhood Commercial (NC) and to Change the Zoning from Office Professional (OP) to Neighborhood Commercial (NC) on Approximately 5.93 Acres of Land Out of a Portion of Tract 2A, Abstract 1849, A.F. Albright Survey Located at the Northeast Corner of N. Knowles Drive and W. McLeroy Boulevard

The City has received a request from the McNeill Family Real Estate Partnership, LP to rezone property located at the northeast corner of N. Knowles Drive and W. McLeroy Boulevard.

Existing Zoning: Office Professional (OP)

Proposed Zoning: Neighborhood Commercial (NC)

Surrounding Zoning:

North: Single Family (SF4)

South: Single Family (SF2)

East: Multi-Family (MF2)

West: Community Facilities (CF)

Ultimate Land Use Plan shows the property as Office Professional (OP) and the property immediately to the east changing from its current Multi-Family (MF2) zoning to Neighborhood Commercial (NC). All other zoning remains the same.

The applicant plans to develop a skilled nursing facility. The use will require a Special Use Permit that scheduled to be considered at the August Planning and Zoning Commission meeting.

The Planning and Zoning Commission met on July 9, 2019 and voted unanimously to approve the zoning change.
