The following is a working list of twelve (12) 2023 work plan projects the Council has submitted to date. Remember that these will serve as the Council's priorities for staff in 2023.  We plan to bring a resolution adopting the 2023 work plan projects forward for action at the first meeting in February.

-Employee Suggestion/Incentive Program

-Customer Service Request Reporting

-Parks Action Plan (Please see items covered in the plan below)

·         Evaluation, priority, and recommendation of equipment for each park

·         Recommendation for a possible pond with fishing and other associated activities

·         Evaluation on tying all the walking trails together into one system

·         Revisit comments received from master plan

·         Adding consideration for park areas in new developments and public space planning in Beltmill.

·         Identify areas to plant and establish more trees.

-Bond Project Delivery: Knowles Phase II and Library/Senior Center Construction

(Please note: this project will cross fiscal and calendar years.)

-Salary Compression and Market Study

-Public Works and Animal Shelter Facility Needs/Planning

-Focused Code of Ordinance Updates (We need the Council to choose a focus area like property standards, Animal Services, etc.)

-Video Communications

(We are limited in video production capability due to the lack of equipment. However, using the HCTC students as a resource, we can likely collaborate so that 2 videos are recorded, edited, and produced in the coming year.)

-Survey Action Plan (the Council needs to define this. It is too broad, since the survey covers all operating aspects of the city. In need of specific recommendations.) (One thought is to send educational mailers quarterly on topics of concern/confusion, such as street & sidewalk repairs, zoning questions, economic development updates, etc.)

-Stray Animal/Shelter Occupancy/Management Plan

-Public Safety Camera (Flock) Program Review

-Employee Survey (Onpointe Insights)
