SUBJECT:
MOU for Texas Law Enforcement Terminal System (TLETS) and National Law Enforcement Terminal System (NLETS) access.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
The EMS-ISD is requesting TLETS/NLETS access through the Saginaw Police Department. Due to thier agency not being a Public Service Answering Point (PSAP), they are unable to obtain this access on thier own. In the past we have had a similar MOU with Burlington Northern railroad.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Due to the low volume of entries/clearances we do not anticipate there being any financial impact on the Saginaw Police Department. This is a one year MOU, so that we can re-evaluate activities to determine a potential cost after the first year, if warranted.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends the Council authorize the MOU. |
