Medstar Presentation - State of EMS and Medstar
Medstar CEO Ken Simpson and other senior Medstar staff members will have an informative presentation of the current state of Emergency Medical Services across the country and how it ultimately impacts Medstar and our service area.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
EMS across the country and locally is experiencing significant challenges with increasing service demand, increasing costs, decreasing reimbursements and workforce recruitment and retention issues. The presentation will cover mitigation strategies that have already been implemented and strategies being considered to combat these challenges.
