BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
The 2018-19 Parks and Drainage Departments included budgeted funds in the amount of $20,000 each for the purchase of a new service truck. The Parks and Drainage Departments trucks will both be a 2019 Chevrolet 1500.
The trucks were competitively bid. James Wood Motors submitted the low bid for the two vehicles totaling $45,436.20.
The total amount of the purchase is $45,436.20.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The total financial impact will be $45,436.20. Funds in the amount of $20,000 are budgeted for replacement of the Parks Department truck (Parks Department, Account 01-7000-07-00, Capital Outlay/Special Request). Funds in the amount of $20,000 are budgeted for the replacement of the Drainage Department truck (Drainage Utility Fund, Account 14-7000-00-00, Capital Outlay Special Request). The remaining $5,436.20 will come from Fund Balance.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of the purchase of two Chevrolet 1500 pickup trucks for the Parks and Drainage Departments from James Wood Motors in the amount of $45,436.20.
