SUBJECT:
Consideration and Action regarding Ordinance No. 2019-19, amending the Master Fee Schedule by amending Fire Department Fees, Police Department Fee for Security Alarm Permits, Public Works Department Fees, Animal Services Fees, Recreation and Community Services Fees, and Residential Trash and Recycle Rate
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
During the budget workshop process, permit fees and user fees were discussed. At the direction of the City Council the departments reviewed their respective fees and their recommended changes are included in Ordinance No. 2019-19. The changes to the building permit fees are required in order to comply with HB 852 adopted earlier this year by the State Legislature. Also included is the proposed residential trash and recycle rate covered in Item 13. (The changes are highlighted in yellow on the Master Fee Scheduled attached to the ordinance.)
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The financial impact will be the revenue from the increased fees.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of Ordinance No. 2019-19. |
