BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
On September 5, 2017, City Council adopted Ordinance Number 2017-10 regulating the use, occupancy and maintenance of City rights-of-way by wireless network providers.
New Cingular Wireless, PCS, LLC has submitted an application for four new network node installations on existing Oncor power poles within Saginaw's corporate limits.
New Cingular Wireless PCS, LLC has complied with the provisions of Ordinance 2017-10 except that the location at 637 Pinto Lane is adjacent to single family residential lots and is on a street right-of-way of not more than fifty (50) feet that requires consent from the City Council.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The financial impact will be receipt of a $250 fee from New Cingular Wireless PCS, LLC and a recurring annual fee of $250.
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council consent to a Permit for a Small Cell Node at 637 Pinto Lane.
