SUBJECT:
Action regarding purchase of three 2020 Chevy Tahoe police package vehicles.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
Within the fiscal year 2020 budget process Council approved expenditures in the CCPD Fund for the purchase of three new vehicles. As in the last several years, Saginaw will utilize the Tarrant County Purchasing Cooperative establishing a previously negotiated price and eliminating the need to publish specifications or obtain bids.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The vehicles are identified as 2020 Chevy Tahoe Police Packages. The cost of each vehicle is $30,644, plus a per vehicle equipment cost of $24,000, for a total purchase of $163,932. Council approved $164,000 allocated in CCPD line it 11-7000-00-00.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends the City Council authorize the Finance Director to enter into a contract for the purchase of three vehicles and equipment for $163,932. |
