The City and EMS ISD have entered into an annual agreement since FY 99-00 to provide police services to the District. For FY 19-20 this Interlocal Agreement provides three School Resource Officers and four School Crossing Guards. SRO’s provide assigned police presence at Saginaw High School, Highland Middle School, and Wayside Middle School. The agreement provides School Crossing Guard services for Bryson Elementary, Saginaw Elementary, and High Country Elementary Schools, and for the school crossing at the intersection of Basswood and High Country.
EMS ISD agrees to reimburse the City for one-half (50%) of the annual salary and benefits of the three SRO's and four Crossing Guards, plus 10% of the Police Sergeant position supervising these programs.
This MOU was approved by EMS ISD School Board at the regular meeting on November 18, 2019.
