The Retail Coach, LLC is a national retail consulting, market research, and development firm that assists cities in  achieving their high-impact retail recruitment objectives through data and analytic reports.

Aaron Farmer, the President of The Retail Coach, LLC, is a Keller native who grew up in this area of Fort Worth understands the challenges that Saginaw faces in its pursuit of retail. He has provided retail analytics to Saginaw in the past under the direction of Mark White and is someone I have worked with in other cities over the years.

I have asked him to put together a contract for services related to analyzing our consumer market area with a five-location cell phone analysis, mapping our retail trade area, and producing a market gap analysis that includes a retail market profile marketing piece. The cost for this contract of services is heavily discounted at $3,500. 

Aaron will be at the meeting to talk more about how the cell phone analysis will be conducted, what the retail analysis and market profile can be used for, and what it takes to bring in quality retail.

I believe that this market study will help clarify where we are really drawing our consumers from and answer the pressing questions that I hear so often from potential retail tenants. It will "up our game" in retail recruitment and is not a service I can provide internally. There were cost savings in the Economic Development Department account for Miscellaneous Expenses from the online aerial map and community profile update that I propose be used for this contract purpose.
