BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
The 2019-20 Budget included funds for the ADA Transition Plan Phase 3A. The recommended IPO includes an assessment of eight signalized intersections, approximately seventeen miles of sidewalk corridor, eighty-five unsignalized intersections, and two hundred-seventy curb ramps. Sidewalk assessment for newly developed areas are not included in this phase but will be assessed in a future assessment.
In addition to the sidewalks, the Old Depot Building has been added to the scope since it is now operated as a city facility.
The total lump sum fee is $52,500. $50,000 was budgeted in the 2019-20 budget. The Old Depot Building assessment is $2,500 which will be taken from Fund Balance.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The total financial impact will be $52,500. Funds in the amount of $50,000 are budgeted for the ADA plan phase 3A sidewalk evaluation (Public Services Department, Account 01-7000-06-00, Capital Outlay/Special Request).
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the IPO with Kimley-Horn be approved in an amount not to exceed $52,500 for the ADA Transition Plan Phase 3A.
