BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
The City has made application to Tarrant County seeking Community Development Block Grant for the 44th year Community Development Block Grant Project (FY 2020). The recommended project is to construct new sidewalks in the 215-500 blocks of Bluebonnet Street. The total estimated cost for the project is $200,000. The requested CDBG Funding is an estimated $160,000 leaving the City’s share at $40,000 which is the estimated cost of engineering for the project. More details are included in the attachments. Resolution 2020-06 formally designates the project.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The financial impact will be the City’s share in the project which is estimated at $40,000.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of Resolution 2020-06 designating the 46th Year Development Block Grant Project (FY 2020) to be New Sidewalk Construction in 215-500 blocks of Bluebonnet Street at an estimated total cost of $200,000 with the City’s share estimated at $40,000.
