SUBJECT:
Consideration and Action regarding Resolution No. 2020-10 adopting Financial Management Policies.
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
Financial Management Policies establish guidelines for the fiscal management of the City. Through a series of workshops during the summer of 2018, the City Council was presented with recommended Financial Management Policies. At the September 4, 2018 City Council meeting the adoption of the policies was tabled. The Finance and Audit Committee reviewed and discussed changes at two committee meetings. There has been ongoing discussion regarding the policies.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The policies provide direction on how financial matters are managed for the City.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends the City Council vote to approve Resolution 2020-10 adopting Financial Management Policies. |
