Action regarding Metropolitan Area EMS Authority (MAEMSA) Revised EMS Ordinance (Ordinance No. 2020-13)

BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:

The Uniform EMS Ordinance provides for the establishment and regulation of prehospital emergency medical services. We have a Uniform EMS Ordinance in effect however with the adoption of the MAEMSA Restated & Amended ILA it was necessary to revise the Uniform EMS Ordinance to remove or revise conflicting language. The revisions are minor and do not have substantive impact. 

 

The revised Uniform EMS Ordinance is attached.
