SUBJECT:
Consideration and Action on Contract With BRW Architects for Central Fire Station Design
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
We have been through a thorough submittal, review and interview process to select an architectural firm for the design of the new central fire station. We are recommending Brown, Reynolds, Watford (BRW) for this project and attached is a contract for their services. The contract has been reviewed and modified by the City Attorney and we believe we have negotiated a contract and fee schedule that is fair to both parties.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Design fees for basic and additional services total $1,109,400. Payments will be made from the General Fund and then reimbursed from bonds to be sold later this year.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of the contract. |
