BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
The Saginaw Boulevard 16” Water Line, Phase 2 project includes a new pipeline crossing of the Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR). UPRR is requiring a Pipeline Crossing Agreement for the crossing that includes 16” diameter PVC water line and 42” diameter steel casing.
The agreement requires a one-time license fee of $6,000 and protective liability insurance.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The financial impact will be $6,000. Funds in the amount of $1,086,050 are budgeted in the Water and Wastewater Enterprise Fund Capital Projects, Account 05-7022-55.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends execution of the Pipeline Crossing Agreement.
