Consideration and Action Regarding Acceptance of Special Warranty Deed for Parkland in Basswood Crossing, Phases 1, 2 and 3



BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:

The City has received a request from DR Horton-Texas, Ltd to accept a Special Warranty Deed for property that was previously dedicated to the City by plat. Lot 5X, Block 1, Basswood Crossing, Phase 1; Lot 21X, Block 4, Basswood Crossing, Phase 2; and Lot 20X, Block 16, Basswood Crossing, Phase 3 were dedicated to the City as a parkland. DR Horton requested the action because they were informed by Tarrant County Appraisal District that they will not recognize the conveyance of the property by plat for taxing purposes.



FINANCIAL IMPACT:

This item has no Financial Impact



RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the City Council accept the Special Warranty Deed for Lot 5X, Block 1, Basswood Crossing, Phase 1; Lot 21X, Block 4, Basswood Crossing, Phase 2; and Lot 20X, Block 16, Basswood Crossing, Phase 3 and authorize the filing in the Tarrant County, Texas Deed Records.
