SUBJECT:
Consideration and Action regarding Change Order No. 2--Willow Creek Station Park Playground

BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:

This is proposed Change Order No. 2 for the Willow Creek Station Park Playground.  The proposed change order includes the following:  "Furnish and install 5" depth of 3/4" washed gravel with woven filter fabric to be paid for by the City of Saginaw. GRod Construction,LLC (GRod) and GRod's subcontractors/vendors to remove existing poured-in-place (PIP) playground safety surfacing and select fill to accommodate washed gravel and install new PIP safety surfacing with 6" HDPE drains."

 

La Terra studio has agreed to review washed gravel and filter fabric submittals and visually observe the site prior to placement of PIP surfacing.

 

The proposed change order will increase the total cost of the project by $28,115.75.

 



FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The financial impact of the proposed change order will be $28,115.75. 

RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval.
