Action regarding Resolution No. 2020-20, approving a negotiated settlement between the Atmos Cities Steering Committee (“ACSC”) and Atmos Energy Corp., Mid-Tex Division regarding the company’s 2020 rate review mechanism filing
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
Saginaw is one of 172 cities who are members of the Atmos Cities Steering Committee (ACSC). Atmos filed a rate review request in March asking for additional revenues. ACSC's consultants reviewed the request and prepared a report for the ACSC Executive Committee who negotiated the attached settlement with Atmos. A more detailed staff report is attached.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The impact of the settlement on average residential rates is an increase of $5.15 on a monthly basis, or 9.9 percent. The increase for average commercial usage will be $15.48 or 6.56 percent. These rates become effective December 1, 2020.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of Resolution 2020-20. |
