Consideration and Action Regarding Authorization Award of Contract for the Saginaw Boulevard 16” Water Line, Phase 2
BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
On March 5, 2019, City Council authorized an Individual Project Order with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. for design of the Saginaw Boulevard 16” Water Line, Phase 2 project. The project includes the installation of approximately 3,230 linear feet of 16-inch water line from Palomino Drive at Saginaw Boulevard eastward to an existing 12-inch water line north of East Industrial. The project will complete a looped water system from the Longhorn Pump Station increasing system redundancy and reliability.
The project was advertised on July 30th and August 6th, 2020. On August 25, 2020, the City received the following bids for the project:

The 2019-20 Budget identified funding in the amount of $1,086,050 for construction of the Saginaw Boulevard 16” Water Line, Phase 2 project.
KHA has reviewed the bids and references and have recommended the award to ANA Site Construction, LLC.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The financial impact will be $1,045,770.00. Funds in the amount of $1,086,050 are budgeted for the construction of Saginaw Boulevard 16” Water Line, Phase 2 (Water & Wastewater Enterprise Fund, Account 05-7022-55--00).
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Saginaw Boulevard 16” Water Line, Phase 2 project be awarded to ANA Site Construction, LLC in the amount of $1,045,770.00.
