BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
On March 17, 2020, City Council adopted Resolution 2020-06 seeking Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) for the 44th year Community Development Block Grant Project (FY 2020). The Resolution designated the recommended project to construct new sidewalks in the 215-500 blocks of Bluebonnet Street.
On August 18, 2020, City Council approved Ordinance No. 2020-15 authorizing Certificates of Obligation for $20,500,000 in funds for capital expenditures, including $1,000,000 in Sidewalk and ADA improvements.
Staff is recommending that the remainder of the sidewalk proposed in the CDBG project be designed and constructed at this time.
Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. has submitted an IPO for contract preparation, bidding services and construction phase services. The fee breakdown is as follows:

FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The financial impact will be $35,000. Funding will come from $1,000,000 allocated under 2020 Certificate of Obligations for Sidewalk and ADA Improvements.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of the IPO with KHA for the Saginaw Elementary Sidewalk Loop in the amount of $35,000.
