BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
The City’s Capital Improvement program includes drainage improvements for E. Cement Creek. The project is under design by Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. and is nearing design completion. During property research, surveyors discovered a remainder of property, owned by Sabine Valley Industries, Inc. (Sabine Valley), within the existing drainage channel of E. Cement Creek.
Sabine Valley has provided a Quitclaim Deed conveying its interest in the property less the mineral interests.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
This item will have no impact on city finances.
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the City Council accept the Quitclaim Deed and authorize the filing of the document in the Tarrant County Deed Records.
