BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
The creation of a Diversity and Inclusion Committee was discussed at the November 3, 2020 City Council Meeting. The Council directed staff to draft an ordinance to create the committee. Ordinance No. 2021-04 establishes the committee and sets forth the duties and responsibilities of the committee. In late November information was sent out via the City's social media accounts and email requesting residents interested in serving on the committee to apply. Applications were received from seventeen (17) residents. Their names are as follows.

Staff recommends approval of Ordinance No. 2021-04 creating the Diversity and Inclusion Committee and appointing the 17 applicants listed in the background information as members of the Committee.
